Mareña Renovables
Is the developer and operator of a wind farm project in Southeastern Oaxaca, Mexico. The main objective of Mareña Renovables is to provide Mexico with clean energy, as well as to contribute in a positive way to the local communities.
Structure and capacity
102 wind turbines will be installed in Cape Santa Teresa and 30 in Santa María del Mar, which represents a generation capacity of 396 MW of electric energy for a general benefit.
Culture and the environment
For Mareña Renovables, it is paramount to protect and preserve the environment, as well as to respect and promote the traditions and activities of the communities involved with the Project.
Benefits to the communities
The Project will contribute to the cultural, social, and economic growth of the communities of the region through community service, technical training, and alternative fishing programs, among others.
